El Organismo Supervisor de la Inversión en Energía y Minería (Osinergmin) informó que las tarifas eléctricas subirán, en promedio, un 4.81% desde este mes para los usuarios domiciliarios.
A partir del 04 de octubre las tarifas eléctricas también se elevaron en 5.62% para los usuarios comerciales e industriales.
De esta manera, si un hogar pagaba S/ 50 mensuales en su recibo de luz, a partir de octubre este monto se incrementará aproximadamente en S/ 2.41, lo que da un total de S/ 52.41 al mes.
Según Osinergmin, el motivo principal del incremento se debe a la actualización trimestral de los contratos de suministro de electricidad existentes entre empresas generadoras y distribuidoras, logrados a través de licitaciones convocadas en el marco de la Ley 28832, para abastecer las necesidades de electricidad de los usuarios domiciliarios, comerciales e industriales (usuarios regulados).
Esta actualización trimestral de los contratos responde a la variación del tipo de cambio, el Índice de Precios al por Mayor (IPM), el diésel, el carbón y el precio del gas natural; este último utilizado para la generación eléctrica.
Asimismo, estas variaciones se deben a la actualización de los costos en la actividad de distribución por el alza del dólar, así como las variaciones en el precio del cobre y el aluminio.
