El comandante general de la PNP César Cervantes, reveló que el túnel que se halló cerca del penal Miguel Castro Castro, en San Juan de Lurigancho, iba a ser usado para una “posible fuga” de presos extranjeros condenados por el delito de tráfico ilícito de drogas.
“Se ha establecido que era para la posible fuga de internos vinculados al delito de tráfico ilícito de drogas, básicamente de nacionalidad extranjera”, expresó el oficial tras recorrer el túnel.
Además, indicó que el túnel tiene una longitud de 180 metros y que los trabajos lo habrían realizado de 4 a 6 personas durante la madrugada. Un sujeto de nacionalidad colombiana fue quien alquiló hace un año y medio la vivienda ubicada cerca del penal Miguel Castro Castro.
“He recorrido todo el túnel, es aproximadamente 180 metros de longitud, a los 130 metros hay un quiebre hacia la izquierda, hemos tenido que utilizar una excavadora para confirmar la ruta que ha tenido, también hemos encontrado algunas evidencia de con qué han estado trabajando”, expresó.
