¿QUÉ SECTORES SE VERÁN MÁS AFECTADOS Y QUÉ DEBEMOS HACER PARA ENFRENTAR LA CRISIS ECONÓMICA?

En las últimas semanas, las familias peruanas han notado un aumento en el precio de algunos productos como cereales, pescado, pollo, aceite, limón y papa. Si bien en los últimos meses se hablaba de los fertilizantes como el motivo principal en el alza en los precios en el rubro agrícola, hoy se suman otros factores.
A nivel mundial, el aumento en el precio del petróleo ha conllevado a un mayor gasto de producción como el traslado y repartición de diferentes alimentos, aumentando sus precios en los mercados. Esta situación se ha sumado a la crisis alimentaria por la falta de fertilizantes y ha acrecentado la curva de crecimiento de los precios de la canasta básica. Según un informe de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU), Latinoamérica caerá en una pronunciada desaceleración económica en lo que queda de este año y para inicios del 2023.
“El sector agrario es usualmente el más golpeado. Hoy vemos que el precio de la papa aumentó en un 150 %. A su vez, no contar con insumos para la agricultura, como la urea, generó también un alza en los precios. Los productos lácteos y alimentos balanceados también tendrán un alza el 2023”, advirtió el Dr. Ronny Alvarado Loli, docente de la Escuela de Economía de la Universidad César Vallejo (UCV).
A pesar de que el Perú es uno de los principales países productores de papa, esto no ha significado que este alimento esquive la crisis en el alza de precios.
“Solo en los últimos seis meses se han cosechado 286 803 hectáreas de los diferentes tipos de papa como canchán, Yungay, peruanita, amarilla, entre otros, que dieron cierta seguridad alimenticia al país. Sin embargo, esta tendencia no es sostenible y el alza de precios de este producto seguirá”, mencionó el especialista.
¿Qué debemos hacer ante este escenario?
La solución a este tipo de crisis económicas, como siempre, es la cultura del ahorro. Sin embargo, frente al alza de los precios que ya se viene experimentando es necesario tomar algunos puntos en cuenta:
– Priorizar gastos. Es necesario que las familias analicen la prioridad de sus gastos para llevar un orden mensual que les permita anticiparse a cualquier complicación en la economía familiar.
– Guardar un porcentaje de ahorro para épocas difíciles. Esto es muy importante debido a que muchas personas tienen ahorros, pero a veces se gasta en cosas que no necesariamente son ‘emergencias’. Tener un fondo solo para este tipo de casos puede ayudarnos como colchón en momentos difíciles.
– Llegar a acuerdos si es que tenemos niños. Muchas veces las familias con hijos son las que mayor gasto tienen porque estos se ilusionan a veces con juguetes o fiestas de cumpleaños. Podemos conversar con ellos para explicarles que el valor no está en lo material y así tener, por ejemplo, momentos familiares -de calidad- que reemplacen juguetes o grandes festejos.
– Reutilizar lo que se pueda en casa. Una de las cosas que también se recomienda es reutilizar ciertas cosas a las que podemos darles una segunda oportunidad. Además de ahorrar, estaremos fomentando una buena práctica en el cuidado del medio ambiente.
“Hoy más que nunca las familias deben tener mayor conciencia en los gastos que realizan. Los alimentos básicos y las materias primas como el maíz, trigo y petróleo seguirán aumentando durante los siguientes meses y con ellos también los productos importados como tecnología y juguetes por el incremento del dólar”, finalizó el docente de Economía de la UCV.
