El presidente del Jurado Nacional de Elecciones (JNE), Jorge Salas Arenas, consideró que el pedido presentado por Fuerza Popular para anular 802 mesas de sufragio de la segunda vuelta deberá tomar “algún tiempo mínimo”, más allá de los tres días que señala la ley.
En RPP TV refirió que si se elevaran 10 o 15 causas, no habría inconveniente alguno en resolverlos, pero si llegara un número considerable, como lo anunciado por el partido liderado por Keiko Fujimori, los tres días “podrían ser un poco estrechos”.
“Al haberse anunciado más de 800, creo que sería razonable pensar que deben tomar algún tiempo mínimo como para poder decidir lo pertinente sin necesidad de atropellarse o generar un abuso del tiempo demorando”, expresó.
“Nadie quisiera resoluciones de tres minutos, con la imposibilidad material de análisis. El sistema electoral peruano está pensado para cosas de muy poca dimensión en relación a los recursos impugnativos. (La presentación para anular más de 800 mesas) es extraordinario”, agregó.
Detalló que la ley establece que una vez planteado el pedido de nulidad, el Jurado Electoral Especial tendrá 3 días para convocar a una audiencia y resolverlo. Tras su decisión, habrá tres días para interponer el recurso respectivo que se elevará al JNE, que tendrá tres días también para emitir su decisión.
