El líder del Partido Morado, Julio Guzmán, confesó que el escándalo desatado por el incendio del departamento en el que sostuvo una reunión privada con una militante le trajo problemas en su familia, la organización política que lidera y hasta le causó una suerte de bajón emocional que lo apartó de las actividades por varios meses.
“El tema del incendio me golpeó mucho (…) pude levantarme para seguir adelante, porque soy terco. Aprendí que nunca uno debe rendirse, ser terco, persistente, creer en uno mismo. Después de ese golpe tan grande me he sentido más humano y, al final, con más seguridad en mí”, expresó.
“Cuando sentimos que hemos cometido un error – prosiguió- debemos reconocerlo. Hubiese sido tan fácil decir: ‘Me retiro de la política, me regreso al sector privado donde hay calma’. Mi decisión fue levantarme y seguir adelante… sentí que esto de pedir perdón a todos, a mi familia, a la militancia por mis errores me hizo más humano”.
