Lida Hildebrandt, directora de la Dirección de Dispositivos Médicos y Productos Sanitarios de Digemid, afirmó que se viene autorizando de manera excepcional el ingreso al país de concentradores de oxígeno.
En medio de la pandemia por la COVID-19, la representante de la Dirección General de Medicamentos, Insumos y Drogas (Digemid) indicó que ello es para el tratamiento individual y debe darse bajo la prescripción de un médico.
“Para este tipo de autorización excepcional que es para tratamiento individual solamente se requieren las características del concentrador, el manual de instrucciones que es información que todo concentrador lo tiene y la receta médica”, aseveró Hildebrandt Pinedo a Canal N.
Asimismo, dijo que se viene autorizando en un plazo de dos días las plantas generadoras de oxígeno. Para ello indicó que se debe de garantizar que la concentración del mismo este dentro de lo reglamentado.
“Digemid viene autorizando estas plantas generadoras de oxígeno en un tiempo máximo de dos días. La demora parte cuando los gobiernos regionales o e interesados no remiten la información que mínimamente garantice la concentración del oxígeno que de acuerdo a la norma permitida es al 93 %”, explicó.
“Y que las impurezas no sobrepasen los límites permisibles porque como autoridad regulatoria nuestro único objetivo es la protección de la salud de la población”, concluyó la especialista.
