El sur se convirtió en el bastión de Pedro Castillo. El candidato del lápiz obtuvo una arrasadora votación. En Puno, Castillo obtuvo el 89. 256% de los votos, en Cusco (83.196 %), Tacna (72.565) y Arequipa 64, 840 %.
En esta circunscripción electoral Fuerza Popular pretende anular 58 actas que favorecen ampliamente a Castillo.
En la región imperial se presentaron pedidos de nulidad en las provincias de Urubamba y Chumbivilcas. El primer caso es contra un acta correspondientes a Chinchero- Urubamba. Aquí Fuerza Popular no consiguió ningún voto. En la mesa N° 901126 del distrito de Santo Tomás, capital de la provincia de Chumbivilcas, FP apenas obtuvo un voto y Castillo 193. En el resto de mesas el conteo es similar.
Frany Mendoza, secretario general de Perú Libre en Chumbivilcas sostuvo que en Llusco y Quiñota, las actas tienen cero votos para Fujimori. En la primera vuelta la situación fue parecida.
Además los dirigentes señalaron que el rechazo a Fujimori incluso motivó la falta de personeros. “Quisieron contratar personeros, pero la gente no aceptó y el secretario de Fuerza Popular lo sabe”, agregó Mendoza.
