La eficacia de la respuesta inmune celular adquirida tras la inyección de la vacuna anti-coronavirus rusa Sputnik V asciende al 100%, detalló Daria Egórova, investigadora principal del laboratorio de ingeniería genética de los microorganismos patógenos del Centro Gamaleya, creador del fármaco.
“La eficacia inmunológica, según los resultados que tenemos ahora, supera el 98% en lo que respecta a la respuesta inmune humoral, mientras que (la eficacia de) la inmunidad celular asciende al 100%”, dijo en una conferencia virtual organizada por el grupo mediático Rossiya Segodnya.
Egórova señaló que de acuerdo con unos recientes resultados intermedios de la tercera fase de pruebas a la que está sometida la vacuna Sputnik V, “su eficacia epidemiológica es de más del 91%”. Ese índice, manifestó, ha sido cierto para “distintos subgrupos de pacientes, sin importar su género y edad”.
