Si bien la crisis sanitaria continúa, todavía hay muchos escépticos que no creen en el coronavirus. En Los Ángeles, California, grupos radicales antimascarillas están protestando contra las medidas restrictivas que puso el estado y por ello, irrumpen en centro comerciales atacando a los demás.
Según el portal BuzzFeed, los videos compartidos en Twitter muestran a decenas personas sin máscara caminando por un Ralphs y el centro comercial Westfield Century City coreando ‘no más máscaras’ y atacaban a otros comensales que les gritaban que se colocaran los tapabocas o se fueran, inclusive se llegó a la violencia.
Uno de los momentos más tensos de los videos es cuando una mujer se pelea con un manifestante y le grita que su madre se encuentra enferma por gente irresponsable como ellos que no usan el tapabocas, y el sujeto solo le responde sin empatía: “La gente muere. Así es la vida. La gente muere. Tu madre no es especial”.
Cabe resaltar que Estados Unidos, es el país más afectado por la pandemia, y hasta la fecha reporta más 20,6 millones de casos confirmados y más de 351.000 fallecidos por la covid-19, según el recuento independiente de la Universidad Johns Hopkins.
