Los familiares de Ruth Esther Yataco Velasco, de ocho años, denunciaron que la niña tuvo que esperar más de 12 horas para poder ser operada de una apendicitis en el Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño de Breña.
El abuelo de la menor aseguró que llegaron al hospital aproximadamente a las diez de la noche del martes, pero la operación se realizó a las 12:30 p.m. del día siguiente.
“Cuando pasa por triaje, el médico la ve y dice que está haciendo un cuadro de apéndice y que me pasaba a cirugía. Luego de eso, me hacen dar una serie de exámenes. Como a las dos de la mañana, ya estaban todos los exámenes listos”, contó el señor.
La familia se mostró consternada por lo ocurrido, ya que la menor tuvo que ser entubada para realizarle la delicada intervención.
