El Colegio de Periodistas de Lima rechazó los actos de violencia perpetrados por miembros del Ejecutivo contra personal de medios de comunicación. Además, exigieron al Gobierno a que cambie de actitud y cese estas acciones que afectan el derecho de los ciudadanos a informarse.
En un pronunciamiento difundido en redes sociales, se menciona el caso de la agresión contra los reporteros de RPP, Hellen Meniz, y de Latina, Jorge Mamborg. En el primer caso se trató de una agresión física de Franco Pomalaya, funcionario del área de Comunicación; mientras que en el segundo fue un falta de respeto verbal por parte del presidente del Consejo de Ministros, Guido Bellido, mientras declaraba a los medios.
“Frente a estos hechos, el Colegio de Periodistas de Lima, condena de la manera más enérgica todo tipo de agresiones y actos hostiles contra periodistas y comunicadores, y exige al gobierno rectificar sus pasos así como garantizar el cese inmediato de todo acto de violencia contra el periodismo libre e independiente, que solo busca informar a los peruanos sobre lo que ocurre en el país”, se lee en el escrito.
El pronunciamiento agrega que, si estas actitudes siguen, el Colegio de Periodistas buscará instancias internacionales a fin de garantizar los derechos de los medios de comunicación, los cuales están contemplados en la jurisdicción peruana e internacional.
“De persistir estas acciones, nuestra Orden advierte al Gobierno que implementará otras medidas de protesta para hacerse oír, incluyendo la eventualidad de recurrir a instancias internacionales”, agrega el escrito.
