La Policía de Ica desarticuló a la organización criminal denominada “Los crueles de la Palma”, quienes operaban bajo la modalidad de préstamos de dinero y que utilizaban, según la policía, el método de la tortura eléctrica para amedrentar a sus víctimas.
La intervención se realizó la madrugada del sábado por agentes de la División de Investigación de Delitos de Alta Complejidad-Diviac, y según las primeras investigaciones utilizaban la modalidad de “gota a gota”, para ofrecer hasta 500 soles de préstamo inicial rápido y sin avales, pero con intereses altísimos.
La organización criminal entregaba una cartulina denominada “Control de pago diario”, para el registro y marcado de cuotas, que oscilaban entre 20 y 30 soles, pero modificaban y alteraban las deudas de manera arbitraria para obligarlos a pagar otros montos.
