La Municipalidad Distrital de Vitor se unió a las labores de rescate del cuerpo de Alberto Ticona Quispe (28). El lunes 5 de abril, el joven se ahogó mientras nadaba en la laguna conocida como La Huacachina, ubicada entre los distritos de La Joya y Vitor.
Los familiares, con ayuda de algunos pobladores del distrito, tuvieron hasta que desaguar la laguna para encontrar el cuerpo. Agentes de la Unidad de Rescate de la Policía también ayudaron con la búsqueda en los últimos días, sin embargo, no hubo éxito.
La Municipalidad de Vitor anunció que desde este viernes 9 de abril se sumarán a las labores de rescate en coordinación con el Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia Regional (COER) y familiares del joven.
Para este trabajo, la comuna distrital ha dispuesto de materiales y herramientas, además de una excavadora que ingresará por la parte baja del valle de Vitor para remover las tierras y así ayudar con la búsqueda. Las labores son encabezadas por el alcalde del distrito, Marco Apaza Cáceres.
Se presume que el cuerpo fue arrastrado por las aguas y pudo llegar al río que está cerca de La Huacachina o quedó enterrado en el trayecto de la quebrada que se formó.
