Se suspendió la audiencia en la que la fiscalía tenía previsto sustentar los cargos contra el expresidente Alberto Fujimori y varios de sus exministros de Salud por el caso de esterilizaciones forzadas. Esto luego de 22 años y tras un fallo del Tribunal Constitucional, que rechazó una demanda que planteaba su archivamiento.
Al inicio de la audiencia, se informó desde el Penal de Barbadillo, que el expresidente Alberto Fujimori se encontraba bajo supervisión médica debido a un déficit de oxigenación.
César Nakazaki, abogado del exjefe de Estado, explicó que su patrocinado solo estaba obligado a presentarse a los procesos judiciales por los que se había concedido su extradición desde Chile. Ello, fue ratificado por el juez del caso.
Quienes sí se presentaron de manera virtual fueron el exministro de Salud, Alejandro Aguinaga, así como Eduardo Yong Motta y Marino Costa Bauer.
Finalmente, durante la diligencia, se dio cuenta que el único intérprete convocado para el proceso era especialista en el idioma quechua con variante de la región Ayacucho, pese a que había víctimas de otros lugares como Cusco y Piura.
La siguiente fecha de la audiencia, que se dio por instalada, será informada en los próximos días.
