El ministro del Interior, José Elice, se pronunció respecto a los avances de la investigación sobre la Segunda Marcha Nacional desarrollada en noviembre, en la que fallecieron Inti Sotelo y Jack Bryan Pintado producto de la represión de efectivos de la Policía Nacional.
Afirmó que cuando asumió el cargo comprobó que el sector investigaba lo ocurrido para encontrar a los responsables. Informe que aún se encuentra en una primera etapa.
“Hay una investigación interna que está a cargo de la Oficina de Integridad del Mininter que tienen etapas, yo lo he encontrado en una primera etapa que debe concluir a más tardar el 4 de enero, puede ser antes. Entonces reúne información y recién se inicia el proceso disciplinario que finalmente sus conclusiones van a terminar en la Inspectoría de la PNP”, especificó.
De otro lado, destacó el informe dado por Human Rights Watch (HRW), que determinó que sí hubo graves abusos policiales durante las manifestaciones en Lima. Sin embargo, precisó que las investigaciones siguen su curso y que no se puede culpar a toda la institución policial.
