Los choferes que prestan el servicio de colectivo hacia las ciudades de Ilo, Moquegua a Puno; bloquearon ayer las vía Costanera para llamar la atención del gobierno.
Godofredo Mamani, coordinador de los colectiveros en la zona sur, sostuvo que demandan la formalización del servicio de colectivo como un medio de transporte interprovincial. La medida de protesta se inició la tarde del miércoles en la Panamericana Sur.
Se quemaron llantas, colocaron piedras y lanzaron arengas. Los choferes explicaron que son alrededor de 2500 personas dedicadas a este rubro. En mayo de este año, el pleno del congreso aprobó un proyecto de ley que establecía la formalización del transporte terrestre de pasajeros en automóviles colectivos con excepción de Lima y Callao.
En junio, la gestión del expresidente Martín Vizcarra observó la ley y declinó su promulgación. El argumento de esa decisión señalaba que esa formalización sería contraproducente para en la pandemia de la COVID-19 que vive el país. Además se consideró que no favorece a mejorar las condiciones de transporte público, sino por el contrario lo hace más vulnerable y dificulta su fiscalización. La manifestaciones se dieron a nivel nacional, también en Ilo.
