A propósito del atentado de Sendero Luminoso que dejó un saldo de 16 muertos en el Vraem y ante las suspicacias surgidas por su supuesta cercanía al Movadef, el candidato presidencial Pedro Castillo exhortó al presidente Francisco Sagasti para que inicie investigaciones en Perú Libre, su entorno y a él mismo.
«Invoco y llamo a Sagasti a que empiece por mí, mi entorno, por Perú Libre y mi comando. Me pongo a disposición para que se haga todas las investigaciones. El Perú no puede estar prestándose para esto, la vida es primero», sostuvo.
En declaraciones a la prensa desde Huánuco, Castillo, aseguró que el fundador de su partido político, Vladimir Cerrón, no será ‘ni siquiera portero’ de alguna institución del Estado por su impedimento judicial, en un eventual gobierno suyo.
«Acá las decisiones las toma Pedro Castillo y las toma el pueblo. El señor Cerrón está impedido judicialmente y no lo van a ver ni siquiera de portero en ninguna de las instituciones del Estado. Somos claros y las cosas que se den las vemos con el pueblo y respetando al pueblo en el marco de esta lucha que no es de Cerrón ni de Castillo, sino del pueblo», manifestó.
