Nueve presuntos integrantes de la organización criminal Los Hostiles II fueron capturados esta madrugada por personal policial y representantes del Ministerio Público, durante un operativo conjunto ejecutado en las regiones de Madre de Dios, Cusco y Lima, informó hoy el Ministerio del Interior.
La intervención permitió la desarticulación de esta organización delictiva integrada por exfuncionarios del gobierno regional de Madre de Dios, la Superintendencia Nacional de Aduanas y de Administración (Sunat) y policías, implicados en el delito de tráfico ilegal de madera.
Según la investigación policial, estas personas omitían sus funciones y favorecían el tráfico ilegal de recursos naturales al colaborar plenamente con la organización criminal a cambio de donativos y beneficios económicos.
Como parte de este operativo, las autoridades también allanaron de manera simultánea 12 inmuebles, donde se incautó documentación importante para la investigación, así como teléfonos celulares y vehículos.
La intervención contó con la participación de agentes de la División de Investigaciones de Alta Complejidad de la Policía Nacional del Perú, así como por la Fiscalía Especializada en Corrupción de Funcionarios; en total actuaron 115 policías y 13 fiscales.
