El Poder Judicial declaró improcedente la acción de amparo presentada por la defensa del expresidente Martín Vizcarra sobre la inhabilitación en su contra para ejercer cargos públicos por 10 años que aprobó el Congreso de la República por el caso Vacunagate.
A través de su cuenta de Twitter, el abogado del exmandatario, Fernando Ugaz, dio a conocer la decisión, interpuesta por la jueza Rocío del Pilar Rabines Briceño, del Sexto Juzgado Constitucional de Lima, y dio a conocer las posiciones que tomarán.
“Según su despacho (de Rabines) ‘hay que esperar que Martin Vizcarra sea inhabilitado’. Denunciaremos a la juez y apelaremos”, escribió la defensa de Vizcarra Cornejo.
El pasado 16 de abril, el Parlamento aprobó la inhabilitación de Vizcarra y las exministras Pilar Mazzetti y Elizabeth Astete por haberse inoculado de manera irregular con la vacuna de Sinopharm durante el ensayo clínico en nuestro país elaborado por la Universidad Cayetano Heredia.
Con 86 votos a favor y sin oposición ni abstención, la decisión del Legislativo impediría al expresidente asumir como congresista tras haber sido electo con la mayor cantidad de votos en Lima Metropolitana por el partido Somos Perú en las elecciones del 11 de abril.
Sin embargo, tras conocerse la resolución en su contra, Vizcarra se mostró confiado en que las medidas legales que tomaría junto con su defensa logarían revertirla.
